HOLY wedding cakes
aren't they beaaauutimous?
doesn't it make you want to re-do your wedding? besides the fact that (at least for me) my wedding day still is the most perfect day of my life to this point (THANK YOU MOM AND DAD), i want to re celebrate it over and over- i want to put on a beautiful gown and pick out colors and favors and flowers and be surprised by a gorgeous ring made just for me, and sample cakes and have one that looks like a pink peach cake!
i think every girl would like that.
wedding day is a special day for certain.
in spite of all the new stuff i see and want, i still love my wedding. it was the first time in my life that when something wasn't perfect it still was because i was so incredibly happy and nothing else mattered.
i feel like that's what having a baby is going to be like in a different way. well, a new way.
anyway.
part of that perfection of course was put into play last night when i went and bought my first mommy nightgown-mumus. older people are definitely onto something when they wont change out of these bad boys. they are so COMFORTABLE. that and b said i even looked cute in mine. which made me ooze because when i pulled out the ones i bought the look on his face wasn't exactly "come kiss me in this" ya dig?
i'll spare you by not photographing this moment in my life: but let me give you a description that will leave you all gasping for your own motherhood mumu nightgowns.
picture the huge short sleeves, the scalloped collar, the buttons that go down to your belly button (only these work for nursing), and the sweet tent shaped floral patterned cotton that lands seductively below your knees.
hmmm hmmm.
next time i get locked out of the house i'll be prepared to look like a proper, albeit comfortable, crazy.

Those wedding cakes were ohsolovely! I see things ALL THE TIME that make me want to re-do my wedding. =) But with no budget this time. =) But I share your sentiments. I feel like my wedding day was just perfect.
True story- those cakes are made by my boss's sister in law. i have heard amazing things about how they taste!
