grace had her first docs appointment today!
her doctor's name is Wise.
and she sort of kind of loved him- and who wouldnt, he spent an hour telling her how perfect she was. if every woman had a little doctor man to tell them that!
(okay one who didnt want an affair with them)
(the nurse.... she didnt like so much.)
grace was born 7 pounds 8 oz, and has gained some chunk! she now weighs 8 pounds 3 oz and is a half an inch longer.
apparently wheezing and congestion in general are common in newborns
the BEST news of all is i'm allowed to let her sleep up to 4 hours between feeds! so i am typing this to you from the incredibly refreshed sleepy brain of moi.
also! more good news: for new babys mamas, if your baby's umbilical cord stump falls off relatively quickly and then bleeds for a week or so dont be alarmed (unless of course, there's infection, heat or swelling there whih is usually accompanied by a fever in the baby) your child's insides are NOT falling out! it's "residual cord" pushing itself out. phew.
because b and me got her the best insides we could afford.
it'd be a shame to lose them just because of a belly mishap.
just kidding.
b always says stuff like that: oh, be careful with her head it was the nicest one they had.
and it is.
i think every parent feels this way about they're kid
barring the tot mom killer whatever her face name is.
welp, i better finish this feeding, this post and ride the happy four hour train back to zzzland. grace is already almost there the little wheezy.
that's her new nickname
little wheezy.
and if taking a picture wasnt so risque id show you her hand is seriously thug life and a peace sign right now.

I remember Calvin was kinda raspy as a newborn, but Preston wasn't. Calvin's doctor said it's common for newborns in Utah...dang dry air. Preston was a Portland baby. More moisturized. :)
Your posts are so refreshing, you're an incredible mom jackie :)
I can't wait to have another one, Henry, once nickname Norbert the Dragon from his own weezying and raspiness, lol, is now almost two. So we'd like another fresh one, er newer, ha ha. Well let me know when your up for a little visit.
not even kidding, I think the Wises used to be in the ward. ask my mom if its the same one. they moved to provo circa 1997.
