this week, in efforts to begin saving for baby grace in small ways we've decided to eat everything that is already in our pantry and fridge instead of buying new ingredients for every meal...
it's going much better than i expected it to!
there's an unknown world in the back of my pantry
first night was carmelized onions and soy sauce chicken with baked sea salt potatoes and corn (a little starchy but yummy)
last night was spaghetti tuna casserole with peas and the last of the french onion crunchies
and i'm a bit nervous about what i can do tonight... maybe enchilada chicken or something.
but i used the last tortilla two days ago.
peanut keeps me up all night so i sleep in all morning- it's becoming a rather bad habit and anyone who knows me probably thinks i'm the biggest bum ever.
truly though, the little lady sambas all night.
plus brandon's elbow and i have been dancing more than usual lately.
so when he leaves for school my sleepself lets out a huge sigh and spreads out over the bed, puts the earplugs in, eats some cereal to knock peanut out and sleeps. sans nightmares.
that girl better start wakin up during the day- maybe i've been too quiet during the day and she hears brandon at night (he talks in his sleep like nobody's business, usually i only catch muffles but last night it was about commercials and then he picked up my elbow kissed it and rolled over dead asleep- he has no recollection of this in the morning)
one of my favorite brandonisms in his sleep:
"it's like dr. dre... on wheels."
if only the world were such a place b.

sleep talking is heeeeeeeeeeeeelarious, so long as it's not you. :) I had a roommate at BYU who talked in her sleep in spanish on occasion. Then one time she sat straight up and looked at me (dead asleep, while I worked on a paper) and she said CRICKETS GO SIDEWAYS, DON'T THEY!!! I nearly died. hahaha
