Today we went to the vet for the last of dash's shots and they informed us that he is a BOXADOR (a boxer/lab mix) which is actually a huge relief because when we mention he has pit bull in him people go nuts.
Yesterday we went up to beaverdick park exploring, I've never been there during the day but it's lovely by a beautiful river. We walked for a few hours, caught frogs and a snake (baby gardener), and went on this big hike through a pheasant hunting ground that trrails off behind beaverdick. (what kind of name is tha really?)
dash ran up and down the river, scaring all the frogs and splashing us with cold water.
when we were out in the middle of nowhere, brandon got a call from byuidaho communication professor asking him if he would write for the school news releases/employee newsletter thing.
and we are so excited!
then i sank knee deep into dried out riverbottom and almost lost my shoes.
brilliant.
brandon and i trudged back to the car, happy and muddy and dash was having the time of his life wandering in and out of bushes smelling everything.
we drove home and then up to IF to get brandon some work clothes (which he looked very dashing in)
right when we were checking out
i found the c utest thing in the entire world
and i am proud to say that we are now the owner of our first article of baby clothing.
i have to warn everyone that we are NOT pregnant, (how can both of us be pregnant?) and we have NO INTENTIONS of becoming preggers. BUT we had to buy the duck. The duck, is a little fluffy soft duck costume for 24 month olds with striped stockings for feets and a little hood with a bill on it.
i'll post a picture later
but for now let me assure you all that it is the most darling thing in the whole world.
and i want to dress my first born in it all year round.
we live by the nature park so it's okay.
we returned home tired and poorer
and to a happy very excited puppy.
we watched a movie and i worked on dead people. for the living.
love
j
