Today we began the day with fresh blueberry pancakes and laughs between blankets and bites on the back porch in the morning mist. After that we got dressed and went to play tennis, where I embarrassed myself soundly although I should have been a great proficient if I had learned younger. (not)...
We played doubles until we began swimming in the heat of ourselves, which drove us out from the sun and into the pool. we set up a volleyball net and began a steady tourney of water volleyball and I was surprised to see the teams evenly matched. We took a break for lunch which was a variety of incensed oils, pesto, mozzerella, honeycomb, fruits, chicken wings, butternut squash soup, spreads and a bunch of different breads. The honeycomb from savannah georgia was the hit and we all felt like we'd left california and landed in italy under the vines and breeze with the waterfall in the backdrop. Now that we've competed all the energy out of each other, we look like slugs smoothed out over the house couches.
