the paddle

I joke with all the marine wives that we are all in the same boat- without a paddle. If you've been in the military you know exactly what that means. They give us terrible hopes, and then say that they aren't for certain. So, in essence we should never plan anything around them that isn't changeable. The worst of all of it is that we can't plan on our husbands coming home on an exact date. We just have a "window" of time where they "may or may not" be back. In many ways, I appreciate that vagueness because it keeps our guys safe but sometimes it's frustrating to say the least. So (hopefully my paper chain efforts wont be shot to hell)
The only thing I have ready for when Brandon gets home is this:
myyyyy outfit! (and the three foot balloons! and the heart... which I hope to somehow inflate.)
PEE ESS nobody else take my GIANT balloon idea pleeease! I told brandon it was how he would find me in the crowd... so unless you want to be totally tackled by a random marine, don't do it!
all other forms of balloons are acceptable.

annnd I didn't even mean for it to be this way but the balloons are red, and my outfit is bluuue and offwhite- so I'm super patriotic! wahoo!

oh and to describe what was in the last pictures
my garden efforts- sprouting sugar snap peas, sunflowers, and tomaters
Brandon's 39 letters that came at once in the mail...
my APRON (and future apron materials) I made with Mom-E this weekend up at the cabin (she had bronchitis to boot.)
More seeds I'm going to plant soon (once it's warmer for certain)
My kitchen herb garden! which is blossoming (as much as an herb garden CAN blossom) (thank you elaine and alison for hosting a fabulous/messy project)
The eagle launching ceremony (my camera died before I could take the REAL pictures of the actual ceremony, but the eagles were all so beautiful and I couldn't stop!)

Awesome! I will not steal your idea and have a balloon...I will have my kids to hold and I don't have 3 arms :) LOVE the dress, I still need to get my outfit. I am holding of in the chance that I might lose another size before they get back.
