but i have to get this prego weight off.
speaking of prego (no, i am NOT PREGNANT) grace has begun this weird clingy phase where she cries if anybody else is holding her if she's sleepy moms: is this normal? she's usually so mild and sweet tempered and lately she's been so CRANKY! that said, im still obsessed with her and she has also begun to chuckle outloud at me (cause she thinks im hilarious!) so i guess that with the smiles makes up for when she's so sad!

It is totally normal for Grace to be clingy. Caiden never went through it, but I think that's because since the day he was born he had 4 or 5 different people wanting to hold him at all times. But around 4 months is usually the time where they start to feel a little seperation anxiety. As for the cranky- check her mouth, see if her gums are red and swollen. She may be teething. People may tell you it's "too early" but it isn't. Caiden is 5 months and already has 2 teeth. He started around 3.5 months. It's rechid. He was sleeping 12 hours straight at night and now we're back to getting up at 4:30am. (I really shouldn't complain though, that's still not bad.)
Totally normal--the separation anxiety. In fact, if would be NOT normal and somewhat worrisome if she didn't stress at strangers at this age (my niece is autistic, and never showed any stranger anxiety). And the grouchies...shoot, could be teeth, could just be a new phase of awareness as her brain is growing. Calvin very suddenly popped out his first tooth at barely 4 months...every kid is different in that department. He didn't have any swelling with his first couple of teeth -- I thought he had a milk chunk on his gum one day and tried to wipe it with my finger, and shoot, it was a tooth.
3 months:
a. The brain can detect non-mom&dadish people, and they are scary because they are not mom&dadish; and
b. Teeth are errupting from the bone.
The clock is ticking...she will be 1 in no time at all.
Enjoy!
