and I don't know what to do because if I give up that means I've failed.

I think I know you, and just so you know...I have cracked too. Just only my husband and like 2 other people know...I mean REALLY know. I hope you know that you can always call me and chat. Anytime. I myself have sleeping issues, so anytime day or night, I will probably be awake as well, and you can contact me :) HUGS!!! WIFEY'S STICK TOGETHER!!!
If I had glue for your heart, I'd use it. I'd make it out of donuts and flowers and white cheddar cheez-it's and puppies. (It sounds cliche but a lot of thought went into those ingredients.)
Here's my thought. I don't know the specifics of your struggle. But I know this: it's okay to fail. Unless it's covenants, and then you don't have to worry about failing if you ask Christ for a little help.
It might not mean much coming from me, but I give you permission to fail, to have it be your fault, to have done everything wrong, to have made huge mistakes, to be cracked. You may give yourself the same permission.
And then take your heart and cracked self to the Lord, and HE can fill in the cracks with joy and light and a giant eraser.
And plus, I'll give you a hug.
