so officially in an unofficial manner brandon and I are going to HOLLAND!
Last night I went to a relief society activity with Mom-E(laine) and in the middle of a conversation with her friend she turned to me and said, "how would you like to go to Holland with kirby and I? I've already asked Brandon and he said yes so now we're waiting on you"
WHAT?!
I was so caught off guard I must have seemed super ungrateful but what?
I'm a hort major, flowers are what I dig (literally) and Holland is one of the top flower exporters in the whole world. The land is smattered in windmills (used to be the draining system of holland but now is mostly a symbol) and fields of intensive agriculture AT WORK!
TULIPS are one of my favorite flowers!
(it's really hard to pick just one...)
they were the first things I ever gave to brandon.
50 red tulips.
To visit this place would be
in short a dream come true.
It will be my first time out of the country.
when you ask?
I'm trying not to think about it too much because then I get excited and have to play a waiting game; but next spring when the tulip fields are in bloom.

We've got the "Netherlands Eyewitness" book out and turning back the corners of the pages of things we might want to see...it says that the Van Gogh Museum has the biggest collection of his works in the world! Get your hiking shoes on, baby!

If you have a chance to go to Amsterdam, do it! It is such a cool city, plus you can visit the Anne Frank house.
I have been there-not when the tulips were in bloom...but even still Holland is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Lost of culture and history there. I would LOVE to go there again! (jealous you get to see the tulip fields)
