an ounce of performance is worth pounds of promises.- mae west

This was an email I sent to blove's mum. It pretty much sums up the week.

I'M HOME! The trip was so so so great! Except for the sleeping on the bus for two days (I must have looked like someone who got lost in the woods for weeks and stumbled out into the Subway sandwich shop we stopped at last before we came into rexburg).
I talked to Brandon yesterday for sixteen minutes before his call timed out- he sounds like he's sunburnt and happy and French. Apparently since he can speak the language he was invited to a dinner for the higher uppers where he gave the moroccan's a demonstration of art through dance (frightening, hahaha) (what he called his river dance...)(I couldn't understand everything he was saying because I think we were both so excited to just talk that it didn't matter and there wasn't time to clarify- at the time) After that, he said his friend danced and the people LOVED him- so brandon told the people that they could have his friend as a gift. They almost believed him. (He would) I told him that I'm never traveling anywhere with him. I could picture him saying in french to the hotel "I will be staying here for a month, in exchange for- her." He has also informed me that since I beat him at his own game (candyland) he brought it to morocco and is now the morrocan champion (and champion of the world) don't worry, I put him back into his place and reminded him that the afrikkan's standard of bonbonland in comparison to the U/S candyland is less difficult.
Which everyone knows. :]
It was a good talk and it filled my whole heart up.

I was even happy for the rest of the five hour bus drive.
Even though it was supposed to be three.

I hope to see you guys soon! My cousin Alix is getting married on the fiftthhhh and my father is coming in to town for the wedding on friday. I'll hopefully get in lateish on weds. if everything works out and I'll be staying with my grandparent units in orem! Brandon says he has no idea when they are getting in or on what flight (I laugh at the disorganization of the military- I think it's ironic) but he said he'd call when he hits the states.
I'll letcha know.

I feel so blessed to know Brandon's family so soon. It helps me understand him to know them, I can see where he gets his fun kindness from.
