serve U.S.

It has been such a while since I got on here and wrote a smidge. A smudge? A technological smear on the internet world.
Sometimes I like to do things the old fashioned way not for convenience but the idea of it is so delightful to me.
The nostalgic charm
that lingers around the past
that technology cannot
quite kill.

If you rub dirt in something, it has more character.
Sometimes.
I say that most times. Sometimes.
Mosttimes,
my roommate Meri just found out that her dog was put down this week.
It is so sad to see her struggle.
I imagine that's how I would feel if my good good friend died.
I would lock myself in my room for three days and eat fastfood for every meal.
Through the window.
Or something.

I decided on saturday while I was out doing deliveries that something needed to be done.

Driving by a small blue house over by college ave. I saw a small Black lab puppy chasing its tail in circles.
The owner was standing nearby watering what looked like crab grass and married housing front lawnage. After work I went back

I pulled over and got out, moving slowly towards the house.
The dog was nowhere in sight
and the owner (Jace) was going around the house looking for him.
I followed curious to see how the dog would act to his masters call.

I spotted the little black love near the fence, perked in full hunting stance towards his owner's voice.
CALLOWAY
the dog seemed to laugh in one leap and ran around the fence to corner his owner from behind.
Surprised by joy.
I laughed.

I walked up to the man and said, Hi, my name is Jacqueline and my roommate just had her dog put down.

The eloquence I had planned on having was completely lost as Calloway ran in and out between my legs happily.
I sat down in the grass and let him have a drink
on my face.
The owner began to laugh and introduced himself quizzically.
After I told him the story,
he interrupted to tell me that he had a leash, and that I could take Calloway to Meri.

With a bag of biscuits,
and arm and legfull of Calloway
I picked up the huge five month old slobbering love
and put him in the car.
Within minutes of depositing him on the front seat
Calloway decided as I drove that he had discovered the most comfortable seat in the car
which was on my lap, with his head buried into my neck
and paws out the window.

Meri was in the bathroom when I got home, and it took some convincing to get Calloway to break his house rules and follow me up the stairs.

But after some exploring, he sniffled into Meri's room and began licking everything she owned.

I hear her come out of the loo and watched Calloway sit by the door and begin to whine.
Dogs,
know
things.
This dog,
could sense a sad dog lover.
I promise.

I opened the door
and he ran into her headfirst
coming down the hall.
She shrieked and cried.
He loved her.
And I loved everything.

I am terribly allergic to animals.
This was the assurance I left with Jace
for the return of his
adorable
friend.

It was a good day.
I was impressed with the trust this community has.

I miss Brandon very much.
I know he is doing the right thing
God will protect him and help him.
Samuel 1 chapter 14
I turned to the note his mother wrote me
in my scriptures
it was sitting as a marker
for that
particular
chapter.

read it
if you have a chance
if you have a loved one
you'll understand
God's plan.
and his love.
for each person.

that has ever lived
and ever will live.

Bedtime.
Lovelovelove,
you
and
me
